CHP Ranks 2nd in Publication Productivity

Pittsburgh, June 14, 2018 -- The Pediatric Neurosurgery Division at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh ranked second nationally in a publication productivity analysis published recently by Lee et al. in the Journal of Neurosurgery: Pediatrics. In the study, the authors evaluated publication activity and citations, along with other criteria, and calculated five-year H and revised five-year H indices from 2011 to 2015 in pediatric neurosurgery fellowship programs across the country. The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh group—under the direction of Ian Pollack, MD—ranked second in each of the indices analyzed in the study.
